Complete Eye Exams

We do comprehensive exams that include functional and sensory tests, refractive testing and extensive tests for various eye conditions and disorders. This includes checks for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, as well as other common and unusual problems. Our goal is to give you the best vision possible for your needs and lifestyle.

Emergency Exams

We perform comprehensive or specialized exams for suspected, emerging or long-standing medical conditions from glaucoma and cataracts to dry eye and ocular allergies.

We also do exams for common eye injuries and acute “red eye” conditions. We routinely remove small foreign bodies from home or work injuries (L&I). We also recommend that everyone see an eye doctor for a “pink eye” or “red eye” condition, because most general physicians do not have an eye bio-microscope (slit lamp) so they may miss key information. Eye doctors also have the experience and equipment to detect “masquerade” conditions and diseases, they may appear to be just a standard allergy or pink eye, but are actually much more serious conditions that require immediate treatment.

Lens Services

Each year we fit hundreds of patients in various contact lenses, such as colored, high power, multifocal, and toric (for astigmatism). Although contact lenses are not for everyone, we have successfully fit many patients who failed previously or were previously told that they could not wear contact lenses.

LASIK & Cataract Evaluation & Co-Management

Many patients are interested in refractive surgery options including Lasik, PRK, refractive lens exchanges, and other options. We also evaluate patients who are experiencing reduced vision because of developing cataracts. In each case, we can provide and evaluation of the eye’s suitability for each surgery option and offer advice on whether you are a likely to achieve your goals with eye surgery. We do extensive pre-surgery testing, provide recommendations and referrals, and then co-manage the post-operative follow-ups. We have found that some surgeons consistently produce better results than others. We work with some of the very best laser and cataract surgeons to maximize the likelihood of excellent outcomes for each of our patients.
